Intimate Barn Wedding in Woodstock, VT | Jackleen Leed Photography
December 2, 2018 , INTIMATE WEDDINGS
Intimate weddings are a favorite of mine because they always seem to exude more emotion and feeling. Having less to worry about on a wedding day means more time for what really matters, the relationship, and celebrating a commitment to one another in a way that is unique and personal to the couple. This intimate wedding was no exception.
Amy and Will were married at 5 Birds Farm, a fragrant organic lavender and garlic farm high up on a hill in Woodstock, Vermont. The property also has a 200 year-old barn that the owners purchased and moved to their farm where it was rebuilt with extreme attention to detail (this barn is *gorgeous*). Notably, the bride created many of the lovely details herself. The entire setting couldn’t be more perfect for a rustic intimate wedding with ample New England flavor.
Will and Amy are actually the sweetest couple…like ever. They are clearly head over heels in love with one another, and some of the nicest people I have ever met. When asked what they love most about one another, they both mentioned each other’s laugh, selflessness, humor, and dedication to goals. They are both undeniably quirky and love the unpredictability that each other’s quirkiness leads to. Their day began with a very joyous first look, followed by a small ceremony in front of loved ones, and a reception that included delicious food, a coffee bar (seriously, you cannot go wrong with a coffee bar, these things should be mandatory at all weddings), some really heartfelt (and entertaining toasts), dancing, cake, and games. Fun is obviously a priority for this couple and their entire day reflected both the joy they feel in each other’s presence and the closeness they already share. I couldn’t be happier that they allowed me to play a small part in their day and let me in to document the incredible love they feel for one another.
